According to latest data, the population of individuals reaching 100 in the UK has increased twofold from 8,300 in 2004 to 16,600 in 2024.
Between 2004 and 2024, the number of men aged 100 or over has tripled from 910 to 3,100. During the same timeframe, the amount of female individuals reaching 100 nearly doubled from 7,400 to 13,600.
